about

This album was directly funded from bar busking - that is, from countless random folks who have appreciated my music and dropped a euro or five in my hat in and outside the many bars and restaurants of Berlin. Many of the songs that made the cut for this release were a long time in the making. I recorded them live with my friends, Temple Haze on bass and Stefan Bregenzer on drums in a jam-packed four hour session on a cold late-January Berlin evening at Funkhaus Studio with engineer/producer, and now great friend, Michael Bennetsen. In a way, I think both of us didn‘t realise what we were getting ourselves into, or that for more than four months, on-and-off overdubbing, mixing and drinking sessions would ensue! Needless to say for anyone who knows me, I‘m extremely grateful that he found the patience to deal with my slightly unconventional ideas of time management to help me see the whole thing through. It‘s been a hectic journey, but I feel like these songs have finally been given the production and arrangements they have been deserving for so long. Myself and the band are looking forward to exploring them in the live setting at a concert near you soon. More importantly, I‘ve found closure with these songs, and look forward to the next project with completely new songs later in the summer - stay tuned for that! It goes without saying, I have a great love and appreciation for my dear family and friends who have supported and been there for me (on top of those whom have been directly involved in making this happen), and of course for you, the listener, enjoy!

All the best,

Michael
